Getting rid of Lindy would be an absolute mistake.

I got Paradise Lost and War and Peace in the mail today. Weeeeee. And they're new! Not used! I'm accustomed to ordering used books because they're like $4 but still typically in really great condition... Having new books is niiiiiice. Birthday gift from my parents. I LOVE books. Reading's always been one of my favorite things to do.

The best thing about moving to WNY when I was eleven were the libraries. I was used to the town library being contained in a house... went from that to checking out 4-5 books twice a week (not exaggerating lol I read really quickly) for several years until I read almost the entire reading list and a good portion of the non-fiction section. I was in heaven.

I love Lindy Ruff, but I think that at this point both he and the team would benefit from parting ways. Twelve seasons is too long a time to remain a coach of the same team in this league. They clearly do not listen to him when his heart isn't in it, and his faith in them wanes too often.

I would hate to see him leave, but that does not matter when the contracts of several players who may end up being amongst the best the Sabres have ever had, whether or not those contracts are wasted, are at stake.

Lindy's not the problem. He, Miller, Myers, and few others are the reason this bunch did as well as they did. On the other hand if they got rid of Lindy maybe this group wouldn't overachieve year after year and we could emulate the Caps, Pens, and Hawks. Be crappy for a few years and get good draft choices. With a few high draft picks could we have had an Ovechkin, Crosby, Stamkos, Kane, Toews, Backstrom, Semin, etc. How did we land Meyers?

How about you give credit where some credit is due? Darcy knows how to draft players, and he knows how to build his team from within the organization with all those players he drafted. Or is that all luck too?

Miller is pretty much 50% of our team if not higher. This team isn't very offensively or defensively gifted, we just have the best goalie in the world.

Miller is "50% of our team"? Really? Last time I checked he didn't have any part in scoring those 231 goals we scored this season, which was good enough to be ranked top 10 in the league in goals scored. Miller is one guy, so no, he's not "50% of our team" or higher. We may not have any Ovechkin's or Datsyuk's on our team, but we still have the talent to score. Miller is great and has been the best goalie in the league this year, and he's certainly the most important part of our team, but this is a team game. Miller's dominance this season is parltly due to his teammates around him, and he'd be the first to say that (as a matter of fact, he already has).
