This does say something about the precarious state of the roster right now. I thought Ellis was ok to play, so who is McCormick replacing?

You really think changing out ONE GUY is gonna make a difference?

These two teams are built differently. If you want a more physical and intimidating Sabres club, it'll take a bunch of critical moves, not just the adding of another Peters after you're already down 2-1 in a playoff series.

This guy sticks up for injured players, fights people twice his size (not literally), and the difference from Peters, he can fight without looking like a total ass!

And this will help A LOT. It will reduce the aggressiveness of the Bruins, because most likely he will get into a few scraps and maybe a fight.

But can they get 45+ minutes out of him per game?

And of course the Bruins coach, who is no shrinking violet, will probably tell his guys to take McCormick out if given the opportunity.

This will definitely help our team, and if he gets put on a line with Mair and Ellis I could see a bench clearing brawl happening before the game ends.

Well here is the thing. He will do HIS part, and he might light a fire in the minds of the Goose, Kaleta, and Mair. Maybe those three can hit and get into scraps more now that we have a guy with balls up here.

Does anyone in the league outside a goaltender play 45 minutes a game? ;)

Yeah, but dontch'a wonder why-in-the-fack Lindy waited until GAME F-ING FOUR while down 2-1 to make a single move to improve toughness?

And BY THE WAY...

None of this physical stuff would be as much an issue if those who are paid to bury the puck WOULD bury the puck.

We didn't need it game one, game two Vanek got injured and morale was low, and game 3 he didn't think he would need it.

Boston needs to win two more. It's not too late, but it is close. Buffalo needs a win tomorrow, or they could kiss their behinds goodbye.
A win tomorrow, and we have home ice and we have Vanek back most likely, and we are FUMING with momentum.

If I was Boychuk, I'd be watching my back....I'm sure he is at the top of Lindy's list

Not only are skill players out, but Gaustad has a recently injured hand from that fight in a road game in March (Pittsburgh I think). He hasn't fought since, and turned down Thornton the last reg season game in Boston because of it. Kaleta has the cast on right now, so we don't have anyone after Rivet and Montador that is a real fighter. Fighting won't win this series though, and I won't derive any satisfaction from losing unless Chara or a top forward suffers a season-ending injury.

It's a 2-1 series lead, not a 3-1 lead.

Exactly. If we can interrupt their extreme physicality, the momentum with start to shift. The bruins are not good, they're just bullies beating up little kids for their lunch money. The little kids just brought in a little protection....

I don't think they can bring in guns. This isn't the NBA.
