When the key reasons for losing a series are being outworked and injuries I immediately think the problem lies with the system or player talent.

No Enroth or Ennis hurts them pretty bad. Plus they're very young.

Me personally I think it's about the talent this team has. Face it Folks Besides Vanek this team has no first line talent. Roy is a second line center playing against first line talent. This team is too small and can't give a full 60 minutes to save their life. If Miller isn't in net the Sabres would be a non-playoff team. It should be interesting to see what happens during the offseason because I have a feeling GM Regier isn't going to make no major changes and will say it would have been a different series if Vanek and Hecht are playing.

- Missing the AHL Rookie of the year : Ennis
- Missing their #1 goaltender : Enroth
- Missing 2 defenseman : Persson and Generous

I'd say that they were in rough shape going in.

Uh, OUTWORKED is actually a talent issue. Part of a players "talent" is their ability to apply themselves.
