I have become resident "sick-dude"...I've been running a fever for three days now. And the fact that I've had to go into work every day hasn't allowed me the rest needed, to get any better...

This is starting to look sketchy, for me. My brain feels like it's going to explode, and I can't see how it can get any better (under the current conditions) by Saturday's puck-drop.

I'm also concerned that I might become a virtual "Typhoid Icehound" and spread whatever it is I have to all of you guys, at the MnG...

I need sleep. My eyes feel like they're going to melt their way out of my skull.

dude definitely get your sleep. what are the other symptoms, not saying swine flu, but helps with a diagnosis. drink lots of fluids, if a sore throat arises i've found the orange juice with pulp feels good. As well if it is bacterial you can kill the cells in your throat by gargling with salt water. the cells shrink in the hypertonic solution and die, because they cannot maintain their function.

As well it seems a lot of people are catching colds this week. my classes sizes keep dwindling, and there are many more sniffles.

hope your feeling better.

I'm debating going...I really want to go out and see all you lovely people, but I worry that it might be too crazy in there given that it's opening night and it might be too hard to watch/follow the game. Do you think it'll be too much of a distraction in there? I just don't want to miss the action.

Miss the action? It will be packed no doubt. If we know how many are showing up a head of time I can arrive early and reserve some seats for us. Then ask one of the bartenders to have the game on a tv for us.

To be honest (I know: "Shut up, ice...") in spite of the fact that we're regulars and spend a ton of cash, these guys tend to take us for granted, and have yet to really let us sit where we want, when we want and give us the game "right pronto".

You'd think they'd get it figured out by now.

I always get the sense that we're tolerated, but not really wanted there.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend as I am still in extensive training for the Summer '10 MnG. That said, ETC's Pub will be hosting a very intoxicating MnG party for those of us unable to make the real thing over at Tully's.

Too bad there's no wi-fi there, and I no longer have my air card. With a laptop and webcam, we could have a "virtual" M & G with those who cannot be present.

No one has an air card!!!!!

They just need to be reminded what we can do to a night's haul when there's a game on. I swear, we boost the day's profits 200% when we're there.

DBTG may try nibbling on your ear lobes a bit; but other than that there should be no additional distractions. I believe pole dancing is only permisable between periods....

If they treat us like crap, there are other bars with TVs. (Wild Wings comes to mind.)

Well I'm in so that is one. I will get there ahead of time and get a table for one. I will then place name tags in the empty seats around me that say "I'm lonely." Sympathy card? Check.

If Tullys doesn't work out there is always the Aud Sports Bar, also on Transit. I'm assuming with the name of the bar that they will play hockey games on tvs.
