So...we all have those movies we're aware of, but have just never seen for one reason or another. Well, I just saw slapshot for the first time last night, and of course loved it! Now I know when hockey people mention the Hanson brothers, they're not talking about that ultra-queer trio of butt rubbing, crap 'musicians'.

No real point to this thread, just wanted to admit now that i'd never seen this classic movie. Luckily I've got it DVR'd, might have to watch it again. I especially liked the brawl followed by the skating strip thing. (and watching it with my gay housemate...well, I'm guessing he liked that scene even more than myself.)

Man, I wish we had those crazy Canadian brothers as a third line...and Oglethorpe on D.

the hansons are american. 2 from the UP of michigan, and the other from minnesota. the third hanson was actually in the NHL at the time, so they called in carlson.
