This is a really cool story. I don't know much about Laich, but it seems like he's got a lot of character after reading this. It's always nice when you see someone pull over to help someone out when they're having car trouble, but it's really cool that Laich pulled over right after getting eliminated in the playoffs when you know his emotions were probably still really raw.

Here's a snippet of the story:

...Finally, an SUV slowed down ahead of them and pulled over. And then Brooks Laich got out and asked if he could help.

Since the Triple A folks were already on the way, Mary Ann asked Brooks -- whom she immediately recognized -- if he'd just wait with them by the side of the road. Instead, he asked whether they had a spare. Mary Ann said they did. So he took off his jacket -- he was still wearing his post-game suit -- got out the tire, and started jacking up the car.

I've always liked Laich. I had him in fantasy sports but he has been a hard worker and silently classy guy.

Bravo. More proof that hockey players are the best athletes that there are.

EDIT:

Some of the comments are priceless.

Semin also tried to change someone's tire...but he couldnt finish under the pressure so he drove off!

Wow, I'm glad to hear that there are still people out there that would do something like that.

Bledsoe actually did something similar a few years back for an old lady in a snowstorm
