Somebody already said Jagr had re-signed with the KHL so getting him is out of the question. Can the guy still play. Well if anyone had watched the olympics it's easy to see he can still play the game and be a very good player. Yes he was laid out by Ovi but then again all good players have gotten hit hard at some point in their careers. I would have taken Jagr in a heartbeat if he was still available. He's a big strong body who can still be a PPG player.

Yeah, to be honest, I'd take him. Just like I wanted Avery when he was available. Stop letting players' reputations and pasts precede them. TO behaved while he was here in Buffalo, and the coaching staff here failed to utilize him.

Seems to me that the Sabres (and for that matter, Sabre fans), don't have the luxury of disqualifying ANY player because of a percevied slight in the past.

That's an attitude reserved for teams that have won at least a few cups.

I don't think that any team, championships or not, wants a player that has shit on the organization in the past.

You don't bash a team and expect to play on them. You bash a team in any way, shape, or form, especially guys responsible for the signing, you don't go after that player, if he was here, what would he even do? Collect a paycheck and just skate, or would he be benched due to conflicting issues.
