This one chick I know keeps uploading pictures of her "artwork" on Facebook and it is SO AWKWARD because she is an art major convinced that it is her calling in life, and she thinks she's great, and all her friends comment telling her how awesome she is, and she SUCKS. Somebody needs to tell her the truth because she's pursuing something that will end up being a huge dead end for her, but nobody is. She can't shade, she has NO sense of perspective in her drawings and paintings at all, her proportions are all off especially when drawing people, and oh my goodness she's one of the worst "artists" I've ever seen. She posts stuff in her statuses about being awesome at art, too, and people comment giving positive feedback, and it's just WHY WHY WHY STOP IIIIIIIIIT. They're not being fair to her at all. I compare her to someone like my father who is an absolute natural and amazing at all forms of art with not training whatsoever, while she has a lot of training and is still TERRIBLE, and I can't fathom how she'd ever think she's good.

Haha true that. But in all seriousness, I don't want to be old, Phil. It's creepy. Growing up is creepy. Although I feel like I'm in some weird in between place of weirdness. 'Cause like, compared to most people I know, I'm pretty young. However, somehow the first two years of my college life have already passed me by. I'm going to be a freakin junior, and I'm pretty sure the last two years are going to come just as fast as the first two. I'm just not ready for the real world. Not yet.

No one is, not for a few years after becoming part of it.

it has come to my attention that do be a successful artist, particularly a studio artist, you need to have a pretty big ego. im trying to get an artistic ego like this. the problem with these egos arise when they become undeservingly big.

in working in a frame shop i have seen my share of people bringing in their own stuff to frame that they think should hang next to the mona lisa (im not exaggerating that much). the fact of the matter is, most of it is standard high school level shit. every now and then someone will come in with some surprisingly good stuff but, for the most part, i have to lie when they ask if i like it.

If I hit the lottery I would so own these cars:
1989 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R with an aggressive Time Attack tune
Mines Tuned Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R Basically an amazing track car
Hennessey Tuned Viper Venom 1000 Twin Turbo monster
1993-98 Toyota Supra Probably built for super high speed runs
Nissan 240sx, probably the S13 model built for Drifting

I'd probably drive the Viper Everyday or whatever I felt like really.
