Who got hit last year and taken to a hospital? I don't think it was this bad, but a guy had that happen sorta before.

Was he wearing a cup? I've taken a baseball and a street hockey ball to the nuts. The baseball didn't phase me but it didn't hit square. The street ball hit square and hurt but nothing major.

I think it's a required piece of equipment for a professional to wear in the NHL.

I mean the hockey pants don't have much protection there anyways, just for more movement of the legs.

esh doesnt mean he was wearing it. A lot of professional athletes dont, and I'm not so sure a cup is mandatory in the NHL.

Because the shot didn't exactly look like a rocket, he probably wasn't. Either that or it was a perfect storm shot that somehow fucks you up anyways.
