good point. the NCAA is so focused on alumni boosters and producing NFL players, the NCAA is really just a developmental league in many many instances.

I gotta agree with what you both said. Unfortunately, my focus on the shortcomings of the NCAA isn't so expansive, so this is one of those topics that I defer to people with more experience in the matter.

I don't really know a whole lot either. I just know that the majority of these players aren't getting an education because schools won't enforce any rules whatsoever.

High schools are the same way, I've seen it happen.

High School Sports are Horseshit, at least in Baldwinsville softball.

In 2007, two players were suspended for fighting each other. Any suspension means your season is over. Neither player missed so much as a game.

School policy is that teams cannot hold practices or games for more than 6 consecutive days. Coaches skirt this issue by giving practices and conditioning workouts that are "not mandatory."

Some coaches mandate that the team have unsanctioned out of school get-togethers and team fucntions.

Actually making a team can be based on what tryouts and practices you've attended with which coaches in the offseason.



Thank god baseball wasn't like that. If you were good you made the team and played. If you hated each other, fine, just don't bring it on the field.
