i understand the dangers. its a residential neighbourhood. why is it necessary to kill the gator? it poses a danger, yeah. but it hasnt hurt anyone yet. its like putting down a pitbull because of what it COULD do.

i dont think you capture an animal and kill it because of what it COULD do. capture it and release it in wetland? sure!

your talking to a genuine animal lover. i hated my cat, and i cried at work when i found out we put her down, because i seriously LOVE animals, and i NEVER cry. now, im not anti-meat or anti-hunting at all. but i dont think some human interest story puff piece of crap should be on CNN, and i dont think an animal should be destroyed because someone decided to live in their habitat.

i mean, seriously dude. if ive wronged you, thats fine. but of all the places you could call me out, i think this one is the worst.

They are hunted regularly, but in this case it doesn't mean it had to be put down. There are plenty of gator farms all around that would have taken him in. And if he's that big, almost 13 feet, then he's an old mother fucker who's been around the block a while. To bad he had to go like that. I hate people like these guys. Where I lived in Florida, there was a pond behind my house and we would always have a gator swimming in it, but my ass hole neighbor would call animal control and they would come and terminate because he said it ate a dog.

Unless you bother them, they'll leave you alone. Don't have to be douches and kill them because we encroached on his territory.
