I dislike people.

So I'm in the cafeteria and the clock is winding down at work. We had a lunch seminar with food that afternoon and the leftovers were laid out for whoever wants them. Since it's about 10 minutes before the 4:15 (the other shift is to 4:45) people leave and about 40% of the office was gone already, I help myself to what's left of the salad.

I leave some of the veggies I don't like, namely olives and tomatoes in the container. The container is empty aside from these, but I know our Secretary likes tomatoes and olives and she's the one to clean everything up and often helps herself to whatever is left.

About 5 minutes later I get an e-mail from a coworker that I never speak to telling me to throw out the container since I was the last one in there.

This annoyed me for several reasons. First of all, he was walking through when I was getting my salad. Is it too hard to say something like "hey, probably should throw that out," or something of the like rather than go back to your desk and fire off an e-mail. Whatever. So I get up and go to throw it out, and find that it has already been taken care of. By our secretary. Who enjoyed the remaining tomatoes.


Fuck that guy.
