A few big name players that might be on the trading block are Iginla, Sharp, Souray, Malkin, and Kaberle (although he might technically be a UFA). Explain how you'd fit your player under the cap too.

I'd try to trade Stafford + pick/prospect for Sharp. That would add 2 mil to the cap, so with Lydman and Tallinder walking and saving 5.4 mil, I'd re-sign just one or sign only one new d-man for around 2.5 mil. If Sharp isn't on the block or goes somewhere else, I'd sign Stempniak for 2.5-3 mil and trade Stafford anywhere for a pick.

Wtf Stafford and a pick wont get sharp it's pretty much trading shit and a pick.

Chicago needs cap relief, and my pick would be a 1st rounder.

I would make a serious run at Holmstrom.

I would see if he would play RW with Vanek, if not, try and get malkin, but Myers won't go anywhere so that would be a trade not gonna happen.

Sharp would be nice to add also. If we don't sign either Loods or Hank, we should try and get either Sutton/Siedenberg/Corvo and bring up Weber.

I wouldn't mind a Sutton/Myers pair as Sutton is a guy to take no shit, and is 6'6 I believe.
