That's quite a reach... There's absolutely no way to prove something like that.

Howard allowed four goals tonight, and more than one was shaky. How flawless.

And I think Ennis will be a PPG player in the future also.

But what Phil said, no need to toot someone's horn before they've even played more than one year in the league.

The point is great players can have bad games, bad slumps...even bad seasons. And until either goalie Mike is in love with plays more than one season, he's in no place to tell us to keep our hope and excitement realistic when he's head over heels for a couple of rookies himself.

I'm calling this a stalemate. This discussion boils down to nothing but opinion and speculation. We all see it differently.

Lets just accept that and move on.

For the Sabres' sake, I hope you'll be eating crow Mike. :D

Me too. I admit, I was wrong about Howard. He isn't Mark Recchi old. He isn't Chris Chelios old.

He's Gordie Howe old. :P

They still need to get bigger and stronger...Kennedy too. A full regular season is a grind and you have to be strong and physical enough to withstand it. Kennedy certainly struggled at times, and no doubt Ennis and Gerbe will too. They all need to hit the gym all summer long, and to learn. None of them are ready to take over as a top two center, and their size makes it likely that they are better suited to the wing. They showed some promise and skill, but a lot of players show that before burning out and becoming a Stafford or (fill in the blank).

They still need to prove themselves. I think both Kennedy and Ennis will succeed to some extent, but I doubt Gerbe becomes much more than a routine healthy scratch.

Ennis, Myers, Gerbe, and Kennedy all need to get bigger over the off season... lift weights and what not like crazy so they can be bigger, cuz one thing I noticed is that when they go along the boards with the puck they get easily knocked off of it. So if they add size they should be good.

Funny, I remember some of our bigger forwards getting knocked off the puck a lot easier than Enis and Gerbe were. At least Gerbe isn't afraid to take on bigger players. Boychuk was getting ticked off at him...

Roy and Connolly never seem to fight for a puck that they turn over.

Had to be PSP or a mod. They're the only ones that would be able to change the thread title I think.

Ennis...he's so damn fast. He was excellent for us.

Has enough burst to pull away from most guys who challenge him outside, and likes to keep the play alive as long as possible, which compliments Vanek like a glove. If you give those 2 enough time, they will figure out any defense. Roy just might be a serviceable center for that line. Connolly won't do enough work down low to center the line though, imo.
