Darcy and Grier will be holding a presser today (or it might be under way already) regarding his re-signing here.

Edit: Presser was at 12:15PM EST, but WGR will post it later in their audio vault

My hopes for this presser is Grier eschews the company line and flat-out states that Darcy needs to make the hard trade or big signing to bring in the talent necessary. Wouldn't that be heaven.

Yeah, this is what a Wings fan said about him in the thread on HF Boards:

Rob Parker is the biggest clown in Detroit. He has no inside info. You can ignore this.

Miller is from Michigan

Brooks Orpik is from around here

Pat Kane is from around here.

Rumors are like kidney stones. They pass eventually.

This! I'm a little late, and incredibly out of the loop, but YAY!

Rivet back to contact practice a week into training camp?? Wait, how long is training camp again??? That's a BOLD prediction, right? Training camp lasts 2 weeks, and he expects Craig to have contact between weeks one and two????????????????? Just let the inury heal, and give us updates ffs.

What does "NMC" stand for?

Non-movable contract?

Also don't they have a rule when the player is over 35 he can only get a NMC and not a NTC?

I don't remember now.

What's the difference? And is this even a big deal considering that his contract is only a 1 year deal anyways?

I would think that a no movement clause means they can't be waived or traded without the player's consent.
