Every team in the world has a nickname, why should Buffalo be different? FC Buffalo is an awesome name and i love it, and i think thats what most people will know them by, but, they still need a nickname. lol

FC Buffalo closes their inaugural season Sunday (tomorrow/today/whatever) at 7PM at All-High Stadium on Mercer juuust off Main St. Admission is $5 per adult and $10 per family. Prizes will be given away, such as autographed UEFA kits, and there's a 7 v 7 rugby match at halftime. They're 5-2-4, but I dunno if they've been eliminated from contention or not.

Before the game, there's a World Cup final viewing party at Papa Jake's, 1672 Elmwood. Unlimited drafts of Blue or Blue Light and unlimited food (most likely weck, wings, and potato and macaroni salads) will be available for $25 per. The party starts at 1PM at Papa Jake's.

I'm gonna be there with Missy. Anyone else wanna join us at Papa Jake's and then the soccer game? I'll be taking the night off from covering it for Black & Blue & Gold to just watch it as a spectator haha.

Dammit...this is the sort of thing I would have been ALL OVER when living in buffalo, no one was into soccer when I lived up there.

This thing with Papa Jake's is gonna be a long-running series, too. They're gonna start up a weekend EPL viewing party every Saturday called Breakfast at Barclay's. It's gonna be the same specials on food and drink, only it's gonna span like two or three matches.
