I ws wondering if any of you have tried this program or know anyone who has. I just bought it and the wife and I are going to be doing this for 90 days starting next week and I'd like to get some feedback on it if I could.

I was going to do it. I have some friends who did do it at one point. And ill just tell you now. if you are not in decent shape to begin with you will puke a few times till your body gets used to it.

Well the short of it is that I ran two marathons, fought mma for years and was the captain of my bases's volleyball team and then one day when I was picking up a box of bike parts my lung collapsed. Genetic thing called Blebs disease. I had surgery to fix my lung and spent 6 months on my couch and haven't worked out since. That was 6 years ago. I snowboard in the winter and hike when it's nice but I'm a softy now. I'd like to be close to where I was but I know it's gonna suck for the first few weeks. I think I can handle the work out since I've had to train hard in the past but I've always ate anything I wanted so this diet will be a challenge.

I've tried it 3 times and failed. The work out just isn't fun for me, so I quickly lose interest. I've recently stumbled upon Insanity from Beachbody, and I've done 2 workouts on it. I find it much more fun, because of the variety in each workout. You do cardio, plyo, and strength building in every DVD.

P90X when done right is awesome, and will work. I've seen results quickly with it, but I just get bored about 3 weeks in. If you can tolerate doing 12 sets of push ups, and 12 sets of pull ups; or 12 sets of curls 12 sets of throw downs, etc etc etc once a week for 12 weeks, then yeah, P90X is the program for you. I personally just get bored.

Although if you want a really cool workout that always kept my attention try a workout called The MMA Body it's what I used to trim down my first 50 pounds when I started losing a year ago. I did 50 pounds in like 3 months, then just dieted and cardio'd my way down the other 35 I've lost.

Either way, my best advice I can give is; find a work out you enjoy and stick with it.

Right now I weigh in at 165 so I'm more insterested in losing the belly slop I have and then gaining muscle. I'm tweaking the diet a bit to include more lean red meat and protein to help pack on pounds. Looks like monday morning I'm gonna be getting beat up by a dvd. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.
