I'm having the best baseball season of my life, on the worst team I've ever played on. My JV team is god awful, and me and my good friend (we are both #13, purely by accident) are the only two that ever score, but I just went 3-3 and pitched 2 innings. My pitching is decent, but I get rocked when people figure out that i throw slow as hell. I love to pitch, have no (knocking on wood) arm problems whatsoever and would gladly pitch 300 innings in a 23 game season if I could. I don't mean to take away from your friends problems Irony, (or seem like a self centered douche) but right now my life is fucking great.

Reminds me of my second to last year of baseball, playing summer ball. The team was 13-6 with two forfeit wins. I went 9-1 as a pitcher, undefeated at home (for the second straight year) and had seven complete game victories. I also managed to bat .395 and three-hit the second best team in the county in the semi-finals. Unfortunately I was ineligible to pitch in the finals (due to throwing a complete game in the semis), and we lost 4-0.

I woke up and looked at my first piece of hate mail as a sports writer today. Made me smile. I love this hobby.

It bashed Sabres fans for thinking Neil's blind-side hit was a cheap shot, how all Buffalo teams are soft (the derp has never watched a Bandits game of course), and how Buffalo is the asshole of NY.

Then he complimented me on my spelling, while butchering his own (as well as grammar), so I don't know how to feel about that

So I finally started to actually try and drop into the butterfly while in-game. It was nowhere near perfect, but I was soooo much better than I normally am

Bah, I spend all night last night feeling like an idiot trying to plan my metro route to the soccer game today, and now I have to re-plan half of it because of the pride parade. Granted, if I wasn't busy today, I'd be out whoopin it up with the bears and queens and diesel dykes, but I got a soccer game to cover, dammit!
