Can someone answer me this, why are they not letting them play like they were in the first 5 games?? The caveman bull shit was going on all 5 games now they are finally getting back to how the league has to be called.

I have a theory, that the coaches write down all of the poor calls, or non-calls during a playoff series and they submit them to the league in a classy fashion. Which is to say, no whining through the media to draw negative attention to the game. When that approach is taken, the league will be sure to make the refs pay special attention to certain players. Obviously, Pronger is a guy who obstructs but usually gets away with it during the fast paced playoffs (not unlike Chara and Gill also did this season), but tonight they are calling it.

Both calls on Pronger were weak, on the first one he seen that the ref called the grab right away so then he decided to get his monies worth. I don't think he initially grabbed Hossa, but the arm was in that area so his arm was guilty by association, in a manner of speaking. :)

EDIT: This post was not meant to be a slight at Ruff.

I totally disagree with the calls on Pronger being weak, the one penalty he grabbed Hossa right around his face/neck and you can not do that at all, and the other one he completely interfered with I think Kane.

As I posted above, I think the refs were really scrutinizing Pronger's play tonight, and then they called a bunch of even up calls.

He did that AFTER he knew the initial call was being made, because he seen the refs arm go up. After that weak call he decided to get his monies worht and mug Hossa.

It about time they have started calling shit on him, he was basically getting away with murder in this series.

You'll get no argument from me on that one, if they watched him in the other 5 games like they are tonight he would have gone to the box every other shift.

Hartnell tripped up Keith and was offsides on that play. But the goal still stands. Awesome.

They need to start video reviewing for offsides, honestly.

If my math is right, Briere now holds the Flyers record for most points in a single post-season. This is in the same playoffs that Ville Leino set the Flyers record for points by a rookie in a single post-season.

Yeah. The CBC commentators verified that.

Great save by Leighton, now we know why he has been released and waived like a million times.
