Elliotte Friedman and Pierre LeBrun are both reporting on Twitter that, according to a report from the Predators themselves, they received Ryan Parent in return for the negotiating rights to Dan Hamhuis and also a conditional pick.

Parent is set to become an RFA on July 1st, while Hamhuis is to become a UFA. Predators, despite giving up a conditional pick, won this one I think.

Can't see the Flyers actually signing him, unless they somehow move Coburn. Good trade for the Preds, though; Parent and a pick for a guy that was going to walk anyway...
