Toronto traded him because John Fergerson jr. was and is still a dumb ass.

I knew it all along! His season was the MOST impressive by a rookie and the voters thought so too. Congratulation to Mr. Myers and by the way, he's got a THICK NECK! I think he might become a massive athlete very soon! That's bad news for anybody not wearing a Sabres jersey.

He looked awfully excited to win

But good for him. Now I'm expecting a Norris Trophy at some point in the near future! :D

Let's see how Myers does through the first month or month and a half of his sophomore season before anointing him anything - the sophomore slump is a killer *cough*BUTLER*cough*

I think Tyler showed the most maturity out of all the rookies this year.

i fully expect myers play to droop next year, then rebound rather nicely.

I really don't see that coming at all. He is just so composed and is a natural at moving the puck, when I honestly didn't expect this until he was like 24. And I didn't even really expect this at all, I expected a more defensive and hitting game when he was drafted. He is just sssooo amazing. It was great to see Buffalo well represented throughout the NHL today.

easy there. i love myers and i think hes a hell of a player, and will be. but his defense needs some work. hes above average right now, but nothing more. he needs to become meaner and more physical, which may or may not happen. the meaner part. either you are born with it, or you arnt. he will get better defensively, for sure, and more physical. but hes got a long way to go. his ceiling is VERY high.

He started developing a bit of a mean streak near the end of the season and into the playoffs last year. I expect that to start coming through next year

His off-ice demeanor reminds me a lot of Chris Pronger.... please please please be like Pronger on the ice!

I am cringing about what his contract will be in two years.

Shouldn't be too bad since it's just an RFA deal
