I've been following this since the CGHA invited the Blackhawks to join the parade. Good on Sopel for volunteering to be the rep from the team. I learned some things about him when this news came out that gave me a ton of respect for him.

Yeah there would probably be no way we would see Towes or any other bigger name player be the rep for the Hawks.

I have even more respect for him after reading how he and his wife adopted a 19-year-old boy who's parents both tragically died within six months of each other.
