I have a 5th gen iPod with 30gb of space I just don't use anymore. It's pretty scratched and I would never try to pass it off as new, but it's fully functional. It would be perfect for someone his age since if he lost it or broke it, it wouldn't the end of the world. I would sell it cheap.

My laptop's two years old. I figure it's got another few years left before I'll need a new one. Laptops like the above should be a lot more plentiful and accessible by then. Muahaha.

and out of date :o

I also find the price a terrible terrible turn off. If you're going to spend 1000-1400 bucks on a dual screen laptop just buy a regular laptop, or desktop and get dual monitors. Yes it won't be touch screen but you'll be able to run two 17 inch screens at that price, and a very functional OS on a full size computer.

Or buy two netbooks and carry them around, or hell buy three for the same price as one, which is still going to work fine with that OS on it.

If Windows wants to make a touch OS, they need to start it new and make it work. The iPad is an over sized iTouch, but it works like a charm and the OS is perfect for it. That is what Microsoft would need to do to make it work flawlessly. Because even with those big touch screen desktops, they are fluky without a keyboard and trying to type with an on screen keyboard.

The point is the portability. You don't get that from a regular laptop or a desktop with two monitors.

HP is working on a tablet running a PC version of Android? That'll probably wind up badow, indeed!

I know, but at that price, just buy two iPads and put them together.

HP's is, yeah. That one has potential because it will run either Android or a modified WebOS. I'm not a fan of WebOS myself, but I'm interested to see what they come up with.
