What about Kubina? He's still hanging around, right? I don't know much about him, but looking at his stats he's put up around 40 points plenty of times in his career.

PPQB maybe?

Darcy moved Tallinder and Lydman today, cut the guy some slack.

Trades have gone down quite a bit league-wide because of the salary cap. Somewhere between Golisano and Quinn, along with the slim profit margin the franchise perpetually has to deal with, a fairly limited wallet is handed to Darcy. Then when Darcy brings ideas up the chain, some get shot down over profit issues. Darcy knows the cap, reviews scouting and handles minor league development pretty well. He used to make regular trades and won out on most of them. Now trades are down, UFAs still don't go out of their way to play in Buffalo (as it always has been), and Darcy gets restrictions based on profit which is not under his control.

I know that Regier has made some re-signs that he regrets, and the past two deadline deals for 2nd rd picks fell through (I didn't like either deal - not even Torres even though his stats looked good). But to put all the blame for everything that doesn't turn out the way fans want at the start of July 1st on Regier is shallow thinking, to put it mildly.

I'd take it. We have plenty of room now with lydman and tallinder gone.

No sir, the Penguins 'wasted' their money on him.

Michalek.

uuugghhh... Volchenkov (spelling) then? ooorrr... give me some other D men out there that could be considered a top 4 guy... cause we have Meyers as a top 4.... Monte isn't top 4... Rivet would be a boarder line 3/4... Butler/Sekra I don't see as top 4.... nor do I see Weber or Grags there yet...

Meyers - Rivet
Weber - Monte
Sekra - Butler/Grags

uugghh....

Who is to blame? The players have come here before, so it's not them. Past 3 years none of them have come, except for the desperate ones...

Volchenkov didn't sign yet? I thought he did but I've been getting people's names mixed up all day...

With Lydman gone, I wouldn't mind signing Volchenkov at a VERY slight pay increase.

I'm saying this to you, you said I can't say that Darcy is a bad GM because I don't know all of the details. Fair enough. But you say it's not all about Regier, you guarantee, and it's a fact. I find that to be hypocritical.

No, I guaranteed what fan response to any GM in Buffalo would be like. You really need some reading comprehension.

You, in all seriousness, are not very bright. It is obvioulsy a failed effort to attempt any intelligent discussion with you.

Okay asshole. Let's not be civilized. I'm done talking to you, since you obviously can't take someone disagreeing with you.

Wth guys. One guy thinks Regier is a good GM, one doesn't. Trying to convince each other is probably not gonna happen. Let it go.

yep... but would you have been happy is Darcy matched either of those deal? i probably would have been ok with him matching one of 'em... because now he will probably have to spend more to get someone of equal or greater value in here...
