Leopold is a younger and smaller version of Tallinder, but he'll be cheaper. Leopold is a little better with the puck than Tallinder, but just as non-physical. Sounds like what Sky said...

I do hope their is another addition to the d-corps though, because having both Sekera and Butler in the top seven means no actual improvement to the group.

Squanto we all know it filled a need after losing Lydman and Tallinder but you know as well as most others their were some better options out there. It's just about what it's gonna cost. Do I think the Defense will be better who knows. Tallinder had a good year and Lyds he just a stay at home defenseman. I would like to see who is gonna spot up to fill Lyds spot or it's a battle between Weber, Sekera, Butler, Grags

alright alright. I'm gonna refrain from motherfracking too much until more time has passed and we get to see what other deals are gonna be made. If we stay with this D I honestly don't see a very competitive team.

That's what I'm thinking. Remember a few years back Tallinder and Lydman were are shutdown defenseman. This group right now doesn't strike fear into too many opposing teams. I really like what Pittsburgh did.

I guess I shouldn't feel as bad about this team when you have a guy name Sutter running your team. WTF is going on with that team. Bring back Tanguay and Jokenin? Just plain stupid.

If this happens without any sort of legitimate update (Dreger, LeBrun, etc.) I will eat my sweaty street hockey hat.

There's ALWAYS better options out there. But, you don't know ANYTHING about the situations those other options were in.

Did the player want to come to Buffalo? Maybe not.
Did the player want contract terms like a NTC that Darcy didn't want to give? Maybe so.

You DON'T KNOW THE FACTS, SO STOP ASSUMING THAT DARCY 'COULD' HAVE GOTTEN SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE AVAILABLE.

Leopold is a similar player to Tallinder. Put him next to Myers and you have the same defensive pair from last year with slightly more offensive upside.

Stop mother fucking Darcy for everything he does, good or bad.

I'm of the same opinion with Barnaby. He said the Sabres made a lateral movement at best but thinks we took a step back because of how well Hank meshed with Myers.
