Easy if you had proper management(ownership) in place that cared about being a competitive team year in and year out I'm sure you would have plenty of players wanting to come here. But they are stuck in mediocre mode. Their has to be a reason why alot of players don't want to come to buffalo.

Why, has he not been reliable enough? Is he over 35? Nope.

The one reason I can see why we didn't want him is because he nearly turned the puck over almost every play. My friends and I called him Toni Turnover.

I don't agree with that. We'd have to have some screwed up management to tell a player that we're not really in it to win it, but you can sign here, if you want. That just seems dumb to me, even for the Sabres brass.

If Leopold got 3 mil per, that's a definite overpayment. I'm not happy with that, but it goes to prove the point that so many want to ignore - Buffalo has to overpay to get UFAs signed. Nobody can claim that Leopold's market value is 3 mil per, but obviously there was an urgency to fill a spot.

I'd like one more player, preferably a better d-man, but I'll take Stempniak if Darcy can put Stafford in a trade package for Brent Burns.

I have no issues with anything you're saying guy. I've just reached my breaking point with SBF's droning unnatural Darcy hate.

Corvo is a severe defensive liability.

Minnesota wants top six forwards. I'm hoping that they sign Saku Koivu (to play with Mikko), and then would trade Burns for Stafford + picks/prospects.

Here's my story I don't think the defense was upgraded at all with the lose of Lydman and Tallinder and if no other defensive free agents come here it's going to be Weber, Butler, Sekera or Grag's filling the spot. Sorry but this doesn't scare too many teams.

I would really like to see Weber step up and get a spot because he's a stay at home d-man who's tough which is exactly what this team needs. But who knows.

I think Pittsburgh upgraded their defense big time getting rid of Gonchar who is a great powerplay guy but lets face it he sucks in his own end and getting up their in age.

Yes its actually a great fit. Hes the big shot from the point on the PP that we need.
