If Darcy does nothing over this summer but sign Leopold and some unmentionable signings, he is OFFICIALLY a bad GM.
Fuck it. You can bitch and moan about me posting this, but I will keep it going. I love how one guy tries to agree with an opinion and SFS1980 drips his period all over his thoughts...
I am not saying Darcy wont do anything now, but if he does the same thing as last year he deserves the boot.
So, he signs Leopold... Grier, Weber, McCormick, (assume) Patty K, Patty La, Ellis... and you'd be pissed that the team that the division WINNER from last year is worse? And the GM is bad? How?
Do I think a move or two above that needs to be done, well sure, BUT I understand that the deals and or players might NOT be there...
I don't see the blueline being much weaker with Weber and Leopold being added in... is it ideal, no, Id like to see one more top 4 D-man added, BUT they might NOT be there AND Weber could turn into that! So the blueline loses a notch in experience BUT gains in youth and energy! Call it a wash...
Goalie... Well Miller is a stud... and if LaLa makes Miller happy... GIVE ME LALA!
Forwards.... the only guy I want moved it Stafford.... other that that a few minor additions and they will be fine... Ennis seems ready for the big club! IF Mancari could put it all together he could be a stud... Roy, Connley, Goose are not a bad one two three... Vanek will be fine... someone like Stemp would be a nice addition because he is versatile, but a bit streaky.
so I just don't see the BIG move that you want Darcy to make! The roster doesn't need to be blown up! And we have some young cats that need a chance! and really only one guy I want to send packing... Stafford, just because he plays like a girl, no offense Ladies.
Do you want to get fleeced by Burke for Kaberle?
How about you stop bitching and add some ideas of WHAT YOU think Darcy should be doing... that would be more helpful than bitching....
