I hope they sign him for 10 million, then he tears his ACL.

New York Post is reporting it's 7 years at $60M total, but apparently the guy who broke it is considered a hack among Devils fans lol.

i think the new york post as a whole is in between a legit news paper, US weekly, and the national enquirer.

Good move for them.

So far, in arbitration filing news, Chris Campoli and Tomas Fleischmann both filed among others.

Clark is always a solid 5-6 guy; brings some grit, and knows the game. He's a journeyman at best, but it makes sense for him to go there.

Niemi files for arbitration, eh? This can't be good for the Blackhawks.

Meanwhile, Halak reportedly chooses not to file as a show of good faith toward the negotiations with the Blues? That's classy.

Niemi could always get a contract before Arbitration still.

The fact that the KHL is even on the table as an option for Kovie should tell you everything to know about how greedy he is.

He has no interest in winning a championship. He wants to be paid. I don't want that on my team.

Actually, apparently the only KHL team interested (SKA St. Petersburg) has stopped trying because he wouldn't drop his asking price for them.

I wonder what his asking price is for a KHL team...$15 million per year?!

So the 7 year $60 million deal is just a rumor?

Yep, propagated by some scrub that NYR, NYI, and NJD fans completely hate-on for his antagonizing ways. There's also a 3 year $24 million deal that's just a rumor, too.

Mike Modano will be in Detroit today, hanging out with Jimmy Devellano and taking in a Tigers game. It's expected he'll sign a contract with the Red Wings before the day is over.
