I'd rather see this line as I wasn't impressed with Gaustad outside the faceoff circle at times. Put him on the 4th line.

He will be on the fourth line. The third line will most likely be Kennedy-Niedermayer-Grier.

This is how I want the lines to shake out:
Ennis-Roy-Vanek
Hecht-Connolly-Pominville
Kennedy-Niedermayer-Grier
McCormick-Goose-Kaleta

Stafford gets sent packing and Gerbe plays another year in Portland (or is traded)

Remember the Kennedy/Roy/Vanek line? Vanek's best work came as a RW last season. I'm not saying it's the final solution (I'd still rather trade for Gagne or sign Guerin), but if the only move that happens is Stafford being shipped away, waived, or bought out, Vanek to the RW (where he's shown promise) to keep Ennis on the LW would maybe work well.

This is a very good signing and it moves Goose to the fourth line center where he should be.

Hey I often don't agree with all the Darcy lovers on this board but for Darcy this was a good signing. It addresses the 3rd Line Center and gives us veteran leadership. I have always like both Niedermayer's they are both solid players.

I would love to move Stafford but here's the problem with moving him now I don't think he has much value especially when he was sat in the playoffs for Gerbe. The guy can score goals the problem is he doesn't seem like he wants to play in Buffalo or he has no drive or heart or both. I don't think we can get much for him unless you get some GM that will overpay for him.
