Do I care too much?

It's more encouragement to be told you suck, because you try harder to beat it and do better. Do you like to be told you you can't do something, and then don't you try harder to prove them wrong.

I am a runner, ran a marathon, worked as the "fat boy" trainer to get over-weight guys under their run times for the Air Force PT test. Telling someone who's optimistic and positive about their run time (especially one with a bum knee) that they suck isn't a motivator...sorry. It's just a douchie thing to do.

agreed. no one likes to be told they suck. especially if they just expressed excitement in what they did. common courtesy man.

Like I said, I'm way over it...people say worse things to me on a daily basis. Hell I'm the harshest critic of myself in the world. Anyone who's spent time with me knows that. So yeah, while a 12:37 is kinda crappy (like 4.5MPH pace I think); It's not that bad for my current situation, and it only gets better from there.

But yeah, no worries guys, it's not that big of a deal. I appreciate ya standing up for me though.
