Okay... This was complete bullshit. We didn't improve at all.

Darcy probably feels that he improved as much this off season as he did last season.

And last year they went from out of the playoffs to a division title!

Again, Miller brought us that far. We need to give our goalie some offensive help. We rely on him too much, we need a more complete team to even THINK of going for the cup.

Chicago had an AMAZING OFFENSE
A hot goaltender
A crushing defense.

Philly had great, hardworking offense
Goaltending not very great, but their goalie was hot.
Their D was amazing, along with Pronger controlling Byfuglien

Darcy did have some good signings, but we needed to do more!

Neither Niemi or Leighton were hot in the finals. They both sucked.

Signing Leopold was a good signing. He brings more offense to the defense and he's pretty damn good defensively. Very underrated NHLer in my opinion.

Niedermeyer brings balls to this team, along with balls Mike Grier and Craig Rivet already brought along. The Niedermeyer signing shows me that Darcy is thinking that players will learn by Rob's example, and let the chemistry grow even more.

You can't just tear shit apart just because you think it's not working. You have to work on it until you think that there's nothing more you can do. Vanek, Roy, Connolly, Kennedy, Ennis.. they're all damn talented they just need a guy that will keep their work ethic strong. The GMs aren't playing NHL 10 where there's a trade every week. I swear to God that I really think that people think that Darcy doesn't do a thing, when we have plenty of evidence that he has.

So far we've waited 40 fucking years. The guy hasn't made a good goal scorer in 3 years, maybe 4. Look at the successful teams? They make trades and FA signings. They go far. We don't. We are like the Caps, only a season team. But they have goal scorers. We need some goal scorers and Darcy isn't giving us that. Everything else is fine. What happens if we dry out Miller until we don't have a good goalie?

I'm talking about if Darcy is done. If he signs a goal scoring forward or someone who can help us put up numbers hell yeah he's done his job 100%. This is not enough. Petty signings are NOT going to get us far.

What do you know about chemistry? Do you have your own scouts? Have you been able to track the progress of the kids? Is tomorrow the start of the new season?

You're an idiot.

Easy, Phil.

I'm sick of ignorant fans talking out of their ass about how Darcy has failed when we're ONE FUCKING WEEK into free agency!

So, in a way, I'm telling him his opinion chews chode.

Did I not FUCKING say, if Darcy is FUCKING done, I am not happy? Holy fucking SHIT! This is a thread about Darcy being DONE with free agency!

I'm not saying he failed! I'm saying, without a point producing forward, this FREE AGENCY did not go well. Of course, ONE WEEK INTO FREE AGENCY IS NOT THE END OF FREE AGENCY. Darcy can still do shit if he feels it's necessary! Of course, you jump on me and attempt to insult me, because Darcy is Muhhammed!

Disagree with him without calling him a 'dunce' or 'idiot' please.

You wouldn't like it if he was doing the same to you.

On the subject of this thread, I would hope that Darcy would never be 'done' looking for upgrades. No team is perfect, and all teams need something. If Darcy ever decided that the team was as good as it was going to get for a given season, he should be removed.

That's pretty much what we need. Rob is like Mike Grier, he put up THE EXACT same numbers. He does similar things, but it's not enough. We can't expect to get rid of Lydman and Tallinder, Sign Leopold and Rob and expect to go far. Sure, we will make it to the playoffs. I'm expecting that. But without a team in front of Miller we will end up like we did this past year.

Regier's MO is to tweak and not make drastic changes.

He went with minor tweaks last off season and the team improved it's results.

I can see Regier feeling like what he has done is enough for this off season.

I hope I'm wrong. But, I'm not expecting anything more than maybe a 4th line forward signing the rest of the off season.

I agree with this. Darcy shouldn't just say he's done, without looking at what is out there and what he didn't cover.

The frustration stems from the simple idea that we could be doing more.

Darcy's not the type of GM that goes out and makes moves that turns heads. Not once have I ever heard an analyst come out and say, "By making these moves, it's safe to assume that Buffalo is going for a Stanley Cup."

Yet we all know, while Darcy's moves tend to be conservative, they often pay pretty big dividends.

No one thought Steve Montador was going to play the way he did for us last season... especially during the playoffs.

I think Darcy knows what he's doing to build a good hockey team. I'm not convinced yet though, that when he's almost got all of the pieces in place, that he's got the stones to drop the bomb we need to take a good honest run.

Time will tell.

I'm saying that until the season starts, free agency is still in effect. So, for you or anyone to imply that Darcy is done when there are still THREE MORE FUCKING MONTHS LEFT is ludicrous.
