Reading this, one phrase comes to mind;

"There's plenty of room for all God's creatures. Right next to the mashed potatoes"

On a more serious note, I'm completely against doing harm to an animal unless it is larger than I or could potentially rip a limb off or a hole in me (EG: Bear) then its game on. As far as eating animals; it is part of the food chain. Larger animals do the exact same thing. They hunt for food so for PETA who claim that it's bad for us to eat a steak, why is it ok for other animals to eat, other animals? If we as a species are considered a higher evolved "Animal", doesn't it make sense that we need to feed as well?

All I know is this, should the day come when an individual approaches me while I'm enjoying a steak at any given establishment and gives me grief over it, they best keep their distance or they'll be next on my plate. I'm fine with and have a great deal of respect for others living their own lifestyles and having their own beliefs. But if I want a steak so fresh that it is still moo'ing then god damn it leave me be with my fork, knife and a bottle of BBQ sauce!

With a tagline so amazing, I have to go to a Saskatoon Steak House.

I'm sticking with the MORE IMPROVED meaning of Peta.

People
Eat
Tasty
Animals

Well you've more or less won me over here. And I do eat meat, use dairy, and have 2 pets. Still I have tough time totally hating an organization that tries to bring the abuses of animal testing and factory farms to people's attention when if they didn't, people might just as happily go on eating their happy meals without ever thinking about the impact. PETA doesn't usually protest at my grocery store, it seems like they have bigger fish to fry, even if they are against many of the things I do.

Some of their members killed scientists for using rats in experiments. It happened a while back, though. Still, they use wrong actions against people who do nothing wrong. If someone eats meat they have been known to harm them...

The development of humans can be tied almost directly to a time period when they began incorporating meat into their diets. The large increase in proteins lead to quicker muscle and brain development that allowed evolution to land us here today. I echo Phils sentiment of "PETA can go fuck themselves"

Does PETA care about non-humans killing other non-humans? or is that equal treatment?
