He's 6' and 186lbs. By no means can he be considered a midget under any circumstances, unless you're Andre the Giant or Derek Boogaard.

OK, I think you're taking "midget" too literally. The point being made is they are players who are either small, or play small. Pominville displays no qualities that would exempt him from this group.

Some players play small. Some play big. Pominville's game isn't that of a power forward, so playing big isn't required of him.

Also, Gerbe doesn't know how to produce at the NHL level so I don't know where your parallels are drawn here. Besides, if you think Pominville can be moved, his contract has made him untradeable so you might as well stop thinking along this route.

And just for shits, Pominville is a career .792 PPG and is +46. He's averaged at least 62 points a season since 06/07, and has only been a - player twice (both times -4, otherwise he's +25, +16, and +13). So wherever this hate for Pominville has come from is beyond me.

Funny, I simply stated he's another midget, and an over-paid one at that. Also, no one said Gerbe produces. Simply stated that he possesses a couple of attributes that any good midget should have. No one 'hates' him, but if he's so awesome, why isn't he our starting RW?? The job is wide open.

He would be if Lindy Ruff would put him on a line with Vanek and either Roy or Connolly, but for some reason that combination hasn't materialized.
