We've got enough specific Grammar Nazis that we could form an underground group of language fascists lol

Rud = irregardless, guesstimate
CV = could care less/couldn't care less
Stuuu = the apostrophe police
Me = Spelling dictator

irregardless is an informal term, but a real word. hence why it doesnt register as misspelled.

Wouldn't the laws of language state that adding ir- to regardless would negate the nature of the word, though? Ir- meaning "not" and -less meaning "without", irregardless would mean "not without regard" and would indeed mean that it doesn't mean what people think it means.

Sonofabitch :D

The way I see this signing going for Portland, whether or not Mancari stays with the Sabres will help shake out where Conboy lines up. If Mancari re-signs, I see the RW slotting in Mark as 1st line RW, Tropp on 2nd, Lagace on 3rd, and Conboy on 4th. If Mancari doesn't re-sign, either all three slot up and they sign a fourth liner or Conboy stays on the fourth line and they sign a 3rd line RW.

Seriously though, I think his attitude and sense of entitlement have come a LONG way since his rookie season. What once made me not like him has been adjusted for the better enough that I like him for it.

it may have, but when someone is a douche to you, IN PERSON, you kinda have a right to dislike someone. its not like i picked up that opinion watching him on tv. he was a douchebag, to me. so, i feel i have that right.

i mean, ive let it go, and i hope he does well in a sabres uniform. but still, once a jerk, always a jerk. and when people sit there and say, oh no, he just has a never say die attitude, its like.. no, thats not his attitude, at all.

ok i have to ask what he did....

Yes and no, it's just like the whole Inflammable and Flammable meaning the same thing.

Kinda like when you say Duh and No Duh, also meaning the same thing.

Irregardless though, isn't in a dictionary of Websters, unless it's been changed recently.

Like I've said before about Mancari: he's a 7th-round pick. If he doesn't pan out, I'll live.

Skimming through the thread titles all I saw was Tim Con-o-y signs two-way deal to play with Pirates

Sure, he sucked in the playoffs, but not THAT much :lol: :lol:

I've never had a problem with irregardless as a word, because there is a well established place around here called the Irregardless Cafe. They have embraced the non-wordiness of this non-word and made it fun.

ok i have to ask what he did....

gerbe is from the town south of me. i played against him in spring league highschool hockey. he came in, and just was such a bitch. he would slash and spear, but as soon as someone would touch him, he would go irate over it. he scored 8 goals in 2 games against me. however, once, he came in on me on a break away, dropped to his knees to showboat, then took a shot that i made a save on. sliding past me, he used his stick to spin me around (i was in a butterfly).. its stupid shit like that that just screams douchebag.

my memory isnt what it used to be, but im almost positive he didnt shake hands after one of the games. i dont know, this wasnt a very serious league, and he was actually in 8th grade (the league allowed up and coming freshman to play, but he was going away to play, he was basically a ringer they brought in)

he was younger, i understand that. and im probably slightly jealous he is so successful, i dont know. but when i see him play now, and that same stuff happens, its like.. wow, the kids STILL a douchebag. and i would rather not have that type of guy on my team i support.

like i said, i dont know. i carry grudges even though i say live and let live, and lifes too short. i have my faults, im not gonna lie.

i can totally understand that.... im not a fan of douche-bags, but hell there are a lot of players on a team... they can't all be Miller...lol..... ill wish him well while he is here... but honestly with Ennis, Roy, and kinda Timmy C... do we need ANOTHER undersized forward.... I'd have no problem shipping him out (package style: Gerbe, Stafford and picks for ????) for a decent enough return... especially if he is a d-bag...lol

So it would be different if he was 6-4 instead of 5-4? I don't understand the whole size argument I guess.

Because his diminutive size is probably, like most other under-sized pest-type players, the source of his shit attitude. Maybe. We dunno.

I still think we should sign Andrew Peters to a 1 year 2 way contract...
