"HERE COMES KAELTAAAAAA!"

Yes, yes, and fuck yes. I am so happy he resigned. I am so getting his name on one of the new away jerseys! Also I was there for the Steve Ott fight. I love the thing he does after he fights and his goal celebration. Not to mention how invaluable he is to the team.

Kaleta isn't clean, but he isn't the dirtiest player in the league.

Kaleta has had some very questionable hits, but he gets the job done as a perfect agitator.

The only hits I didn't like of his were the boarding on Jared Ross (who shouldn't have turned his back to Kaleta, but still, Pattymouth should've exercised discretion at that point) and the blatant elbow to Paul Kariya's head. Otherwise, I've loved every hit he's thrown down. And that's coming from the mouth of not just a Patty Kaleta homer, but a fan of huge, gnarly, clean hits.

My thoughts exactly. I think he's learning the importance of discretion and when and where to throw his hits. Not only that, he's starting to fight more. Factor in his increasing penalty killing role, you've got one hell of an important player.

Terrible signing actually.

No one likes Kaleta on the other teams so why should we too? Don't we want everyone to like our players?

I see what you're doing here. You're acting like the people on the old Sabres boards and/or HF boards.

That guy doesn't watch much hockey. I could name a player on every team that's dirtier than Kaleta.

Personally I think Avery, Lapierre, and Ruutu are the dirtiest players in the NHL.

Kaleta is one of the cleanest hitters in the NHL.

sorry dude. but no. absolutely not. hes not the worst, but hes not the best. its the nature of his game. some hits are clean as a whistle, while others are as clean as squantos drawers (hint: skidmarks ahoy!) its just the nature of the game. kinda like vladimir guerrero. he swings at EVERYTHING, and sometimes he strikes out, others he hits a 465 foot majestic home run.

Kaleta has cleaned his game up; but let me tell ya, he's been known to leave his feet, and he's also been known to cross the same lines as the other players, mentioned; Avery, Rutuu, Lappy, etc on the ice. He's just a good quality guy in the locker room, has a sack and will stand up for his teammates, and he's a local boy so everyone loves him.

He's an important part of the team, but he's no model citizen either. Take it for what he is, he's our Matt Barnaby style agitator, and you love to have him, and other teams love to hate him.

That is GREAT news. Arbitration can sour a man. Things are slowly coming into focus....

there were actually rumors floating around that the team only took him to arbitration to avoid other's sending an offer sheet, that way they could keep negotiating without having to worry about someone stealing PK

I'm very happy Patty is back! I knew he would be but still...

And! I think it's a good thing all the other teams hate him, that means he is doing his job. He is good at drawing penelties. Too bad our pp sucks

Well the major concern was, they were going to compare him to Sean Avery and Cal Clutterbuck, and give him a deal somewhere in the middle, since his production is similar to Avery; and his style is very similar to Clutterbuck, if he were somewher ein the middle it would be around 2M a year, and that's way too much for a 4th line player...right Goose?

I didn't really say he was the best, I said out of the guys who are meant for that purpose, he's one of the cleaner.
Just my opinion.

Not to be a douche, but you didn't say that anywhere ;)

I'm going with Jay on this one; he's gotten a ton better.
