That guy doesn't watch much hockey. I could name a player on every team that's dirtier than Kaleta.

Personally I think Avery, Lapierre, and Ruutu are the dirtiest players in the NHL.

Kaleta is one of the cleanest hitters in the NHL.

sorry dude. but no. absolutely not. hes not the worst, but hes not the best. its the nature of his game. some hits are clean as a whistle, while others are as clean as squantos drawers (hint: skidmarks ahoy!) its just the nature of the game. kinda like vladimir guerrero. he swings at EVERYTHING, and sometimes he strikes out, others he hits a 465 foot majestic home run.

...I meant out of the guys who are meant for that purpose, he's one of the cleaner.

Not to be a douche, but you didn't say that anywhere ;)

I'm going with Jay on this one; he's gotten a ton better.

Fixed.

That's a good deal.

Considering the fact that Matt Cooke just got 1.8, Kaleta got raped.

Great deal from a MGMT perspective, even greater for the team, but I feel a little bad for Kaleta who probably should have gotten 2-3k more.

He could've gone to arbitration and decided to instead sign this deal. He didn't get raped, he chose his fate.

I dunno, somehow I feel like his agent failed him. he's a 1.2-1.3/year player. In the grand scheme of things nobody should lose sleep over this, but dude....it takes me 4 years to earn the difference.

Great deal considering what other players like him are getting now. Do you think this would qualify as a "home town discount" or was Darcy able to convince him that this was his value?

Here's how I look at it. 55 games is a career high for him (what he played last season). Yea, he scored 10g and 40% were game-winners, but the fact of the matter is he has injury issues and plays the kind of game that will end a career prematurely. Both the money and the term length are indicative of his health issues. If he manages to play 65-70 games the next two seasons and continue to raise his scoring totals every season like he has so far, then we can expect to see $1.5M -$1.75M for three years.

That makes a lot of sense, because (and I'm sure his agent advised him of this) if they went to arbitration the Sabres would have surely harped on him about his games played. That's been his Achilles Heel.

He's been unfortunate, but I hesitate to agree with your "that kind of game" comment. usually the great agitators don't miss many games, but create a lot of man games of their own.

Some of the shit he does is slightly shady, but I could name 5 people right now without even going through rosters, right off the top of my head, that are CLEARLY head and shoulders above Kaletas dirty level.....

And yes whoever said it.....HELL FUCKIN YESSSSS

Im thinkin when they release the new whites or hoepfully a yellow third, Ill get me a Kaleta, I love how the dude plays.

If people say he's the dirtiest player in the league, they are sadly mistaken... But that's cool because they get the shit scared out of em by Kaleta... It all balances out in the end.

That is GREAT news. Arbitration can sour a man. Things are slowly coming into focus....

there were actually rumors floating around that the team only took him to arbitration to avoid other's sending an offer sheet, that way they could keep negotiating without having to worry about someone stealing PK

Shrewd move. Always have to be on the look out for poachers. Those soulless, hollowed out carcass humpers!

Someone call the circumvention detection unit then, cause this deal may not be legit. Haha

Most agitators don't play near the physical game that Kaleta does. Your 'common' agitator will whack someone on the ankle, run their mouth a little bit, start a scrum, that sort of thing. Lots of talking and little stuff.

Kaleta transplants your face into the glass first, and talks shit later. A bit different.
