If the puck hits the pipe at an angle in which the puck deflects outward, it never crosses the line.

No, I know that NHL 2000 had them.

I'm loving that the new physics engine allows for all sorts of shit to happen. Now it sounds like raising the stick to deflect a puck isn't a matter of timing it right to score, it's a matter of timing it right so that your stick is below the crossbar, even.

Well isn't this only for high stick goals?

Yes, but isn't the foot in the crease rule now obsolete, whereas a high-stick goal has always been reviewed?

Eh, all I know is that this is not the first game to disallow goals.

this is for high stick, sticked in and possibly like in the video we've seen, if the puck never fully crosses the line

faceoff 99 had the crease rule. they would show you the replay and everything, and then "no goal"

it was awesome.

I wish they would have shown all the angles while replaying it, so you could even judge if it was a goal or not.

the crease rule is still in effect, kinda, just not reviewable. im not exactly sure what it is now, its not the same as it was. my guess is its basically goaltender interference.

people are saying they are shortened so its not completely given away. if you watch after they show the two players side by side it may be a cut. also, it the faceoff videos from yesterday, they had anthems in them, so thats another reason for the speculation it was cut short

I was wondering where the anthems were.

What leagues are going to be in the new NHL game? I know the NHL and AHL will still be there, and there's been talk of adding the Juniors, but will the german, Czech and others still be there?
