Has Andy Sutton Signed anywhere? If not; could he be paired with a player like Leopold/Montador?

Just curious, as to thoughts and opinions on that idea. He's a crushing hitter, and would be an instant hit with the fans here.

I don't think so, that money would be better spent elsewhere. He figures to get about 3.5/year, which is too much for a slow footed blue liner. I like the physicality but is that really a liability for the Sabres D-Corps? I think Myers, Rivet, and Weber bring a little something special in that regard.

If they are going to spend 3.5 or more I'd rather see another forward.

Sutton won't command more than a 3 mil cap hit. The market is too down (and hopefully smart) to pay a 35 yr old stay-at-home tough, but slow d-man more than 3 mil per. He pull around 2-2.5 mil for a 1-2 year deal. Even if his value is in Regier's range, Buffalo probably wants a more rounded d-man with some offensive production.

You might be amazed, but I think somebody is going to give him 3.5 for 2 or 3 years each. And even if he did sign for 2 million I wouldn't be very excited about it.

I think they need to spend money to address weaknesses. Like a big power forward.

So, you're on expert on cap hits?

(Sutton'd!)

If Miller and Myers were playing like they did last year, we'd probably be over 500 right now.

If I had decided to jerk off instead, I probably wouldn't be paying child support...
