Holy crap....That's like the treks from hell related by my forefathers...but they never did it without help.

I'm thinking your best bet is to use a combination of safe sedatives and distraction for the children and put your foot through the floor for about 37 hours.

God speed.

(seriously) Yikes.

I'm not looking forward to it. The kids will be fine with the dvd players but the wild card is the baby. He may sleep like an angel or just be a miserable shit. My oldest sits up front in a booster now so he's good with a pair of binoculars and music but fuck....bottle and diapers on a 24 hour car ride?

The good thing is that my Grandma lives with her boyfriend up on Upper Mountain Road so her house down on Cayuga is all mine.

I might be OK for Wed night, I'm 50/50 on it right now.

Could always hit the Village Pub on Center Street. I have my own beer mug there. :p

That's Cross's and my home stomping ground. My cousin bartends there and I'm staying two blocks back from Center Street.

490 aint what it used to be...not that it was much to begin with ;)

The Brickyard isn't bad and they've got some good beer in bottles.

I believe they're still doing the usual thing on the patio down at Riverside (but it's called something else and the restaurant is all classed up now).

Given the choices available, I'd say go to the Brickyard (and I did several times last week)

Yeah 490 does suck a bit but for me it's about the people there. My cousin Chris used to bartend (maybe still does, dunno) and guys i used to hang with usually hit 490 up for a drink or two before heading on. Brickyard is always packed but I do like the patio. I mean I'd take the Jug but I'll be in Lewiston. I do want to check out the old Brennan's to see what's happening. The Riverside is where we had our ten year reunion and it's a bunch of black tie shit now though chicken wings on the patio during the day is unbeatable. Some Molsons, okay wings and a great view of the river. Bandanas will be a must for perrogies and wings plus I NEED pizza logs! Wish hockey season was in effect so I could catch a game...damnit.
