My mother has stated that she wants to give him to a friend of the family when my parents move, not at all because she wants to get rid of him but because that friend loves him so much. If it were for the former reason, I wouldn't mind because I will be in no position to take him myself at that point in time, but because it's the latter, I'm not allowing it (technically, he's my dog, though truly he's just the family dog, and he recognizes my mother and not me as the alpha lol). I'm afraid, though, of being told over the phone at school or something that he's been given away.

I asked for a dog for years before I finally got to go to the SPCA for a birthday gift, and that dog is awesome. Noooo way.

At least yours isn't being given away because he doesn't get along with your mom's new boyfriend's puppy, but your mom ends up breaking up with him a few months later anyways so now your dog was given away for nothing...

Yea, I'm not bitter...

Pfffft, what are Potholes? The only potholes in the SOUTH are ones in the city, and even that, there are none.

Cars that low are great, and that S2000 isn't even low enough. A car that low in Buffalo would be retarded, down in Florida or Even NC, they would be a dream, because it doesn't snow so the roads don't get totally fucked when the ground freezes and thaws.

That might be low enough.

But yea, that's what I want to do to a Miata, So I'm trying to sell my Golf and find myself a Miata. Ann then buy one, save up for Coils, and some wheels with ridiculous offset on them, and stretched tires, and GO AS LOW as I can.

I'm a fan of not having to stop at railroad tracks, slipping it into neutral and pushing it over for fear of hurting it.

I know the low, stretched, and offset thing is big. If I were buying a Miata though, I'd stay away from that and maybe just get some nice lightweight wheels and upgrade the suspension and brakes, then auto-x it.

Speaking of that S2000 on the previous page, there's a nice blue Club Racer at a dealership by me. I sat in it the other day and loved it. I remember the first time I drove one of those, it was a blast.

Haha the Sabres Junkie voice of vehicular knowledge has spoken.

Me, I don't dig that look at all. I'm all about American muscle. The kind with a 454 under a hood held down by pins and an SS badge in the center of the grille and just under the trunk.

But I like that low, big wheel offset stance. Also Auto-X pffft, I wanna drift.

Not many railroad tracks in this area either. And half the time if there is one, it's on it's own bridge. I know of only one I actually would need to cross.

Yeah, you're lucky. No friendly NYS potholes either.

I'd love to get an old NA Miata as an inexpensive toy. I remember the first time I drove a Miata (pre-facelift NC) and was stopped at a U-turn. I revved it, dropped the clutch and spun perfectly 180 degrees around the turn. It was the first time I had ever attempted that (on a test drive no less) and probably would have lost it big time with a higher powered car.

unless you turbo it or soak the track down, there wont be much drifting in a miata... i have one dropped about 2", eibachs with KYB adjustables... currently stock but auto-x tires... just no power to drift... it just sticks... but you can turbo or supercharge it pretty easy...

It's like my 240....only drifts if you f*ckin THROW it sideways, or if the track's wet.

and with the suspension set up the way it is, sometimes, you can't even throw it to get it to brake loose... just sticks... not enough power to snap it loose.... it isn't a good drift candidate... better to go with a worked 240sx or 300z or GTO ... Ive even seen a 2wd Mazda B2000 pick up do some sick drifting...

http://www.beaverun.com/

nice facility pretty close... they do a lot of auto-x... some track stuff... bike stuff... karts... drift... a bit of everything.... ive only done some karting and auto-x stuff...id like to do some flat out days, but wouldn't mind doing it in something a little faster than the miata...
