Yeah, I'm inclined to not believe this until some other confirmation...it's that illogical.

It just doesn't jive that a reporter from TSN Edmonton would be the one breaking something like this. He doesn't have a lot of tweets or writing about anything out here in the East.

Maybe someone is stirring the dust of a possible trade with the Oil coming up? Stafford's Uncle is one of the trainers for the Drips. I was wondering the same thing, though. If there is anything Sabre Related being spread by someone in Edmonton, it could be about an impending trade.

Just speculation, but anything is possible I guess.

I don't see how waiving Kennedy fits very well into any bigger player movement/acquisition. If there was a big trade in the mix, Kennedy would be part of it, not waived.

FWIW, if Edmonton were a trade partner, I'd be ok with Stafford and Gerbe for Tom Gilbert. If any trade were to involve a young forward, Gerbe should go before Kennedy.
