I think we trade either Butler, Sekera, or Gragnani (SPELLING?). They will get us something at least.

In game THREE. With 7 minutes left.

Score a PP goal or two somewhere in the series and that play means nothing, and isn't even discussed.

Nobody argues those points Squanto. Of course the team didn't play to potential, but the officiating didn't measure up either. I know it's fantasy land to think a playoff series will be reffed totally even, but there were a few glaring calls that had a major impact on games.

It's not wrong to want a fair shake, or something close to it.

still say missing ze german hurt an absolute ton... and when TV went down, it was to much to over come...and regardless of what he says, i still bet timmy c was only about 80%... you can't lose 2 top six guys, beat boston and beat the refs in one series... its just to much to over come....

No arguments there, but Connolly was technically healthy, he just hadn't skated for three weeks before the series started. Some people seem to underestimate the impact of that.

I said before that I don't really care what the pairings are, but Leopold is more like Tallinder, and Morrisonn and Weber are more like Lydman. Based on that I would anticipate...

Leopold-Myers...(Tallinder's replacement)
Morrisonn-Rivet...(Morrisonn is a top four d-man and Rivet is too once he's healthy)
Weber-Montador...(Lydman's replacement)

I like that lineup pretty well actually. But, I think Lindy will probably pair Weber with Rivet. He seemed to help Butler out a ton in his rooke season and clearly the young guys look up to him and as Ive said before, I see Weber as a younger version of Rivet with a slightly higher offensive ceiling. Wouldn't suprise me to see those two playing together if Weber makes the team.

Morrisonn has tons of experience playing with a free-wheeling puck-carrier, so he'd be perfect for Myers. Leopold would replace Butler as Rivet's partner as Leopold basically plays like a smarter Butler. Montador would play with Weber and Butler (rotating) until someone earns that final spot and the other becomes 7h d-man.

Morrisonn is earning $2.075M per season. I like it. He BARELY took a raise.

I can't say he's being overpaid. I wonder what enticed him to come here (other than having a job) for such a little raise....

Well free agency has been open for over a month now and he probably didnt have any better offers and decided to take something before it was too late

I don't know much about him and the fact that nobody wrote about him in the free agent defenseman thread shows that he wasn't on anybody's radar. God, I hope he is underrated.

Think between Jay McKee and Toni Lydman with 1/3 to 1/2 less giveaways

Montador was rock solid for us last year minus the western road trip.

Darcy has a knack for finding diamonds in the rough.

LOL our best signings come off of players that aren't expected to do much.

Not a bad thing. The more I think about it, the more I want him to be paired with Myers. He played with Green in Washington, so Myers has more freedom to free wheel, but Myers can also shut it down. So you have a double threat in one pairing. Just one question, is his name pronounced Shane or Shawn? lol.

A lot of us think the same way about a Morrisonn and Myers pairing. It allows Myers to skate all over, but he can hunker down damn well, which gives the Sabres a great shutdown line.

And it's "Shawn" lol
