Are there any names that a potential partner could have that would be a dealbreaker or possible dealbreaker?


I cannot for the life of me picture myself dating someone with the same name as my mom or either of my sisters, Jodi, Sara, Stephanie. Just seems weird.

I also find some names to be ugly, Brenda, Barbara, Susan, or kind of boring Emily, Ann.

lol I've thought about this before. There are just some names I don't like at all. I don't want to say any of them because I don't know everyone's name on here and I don't want to ~offend~ anyone.

I guess I've never run into a situation where someone's name has been a deal breaker, but that's not to say that it couldn't happen...

I'm always contemplating whether or not I will change my last name to my husband's when I get married. I like the tradition of taking your husband's last name, but I also like the way my first and last name sound and look together. I've decided it's going to depend on what his last name is and how well it goes with my first name.

I actually dated a Susan, my first girlfriend. I always called her Susan, never Sue. Something about that sounded very odd to me. Sue...soo...sooooooooooooo!!!!! I'm a crazy person.

Teaching totally ruins names for me. I could never date a Brandon or Cameron. Also Michael. That's my sister's fiance's name and she's dated a few other Mikes as well. She owns it...(ha! j/k but it would still be wierd)


William is my dad's name, but he goes by Bill. I once dated a Bill and it was just weird! Never again.
