I'm really surprised that it was hard for him to get an NHL contract. I'm sure he searched for one.
I would think he could easily have gotton a contract with a team who is in the cellar and needs help out. Tampa Bay, Islanders, Atlanta, St. Louis, Edmonton, Minnesota, maybe The Stars.
