HockeyTruth and GM4ADAY_COACH2, two guys on the Sabres forums who like to go nuts on people who dont agree with them. And now GM has his head up HT's ass so its getting worse.

the annoying thing is how they will point the finger in every post saying how everyone else loves so and so, and dumb they are. get over it.

HT obviously lost money on the Sabres one year and now hates them with a passion due to that but still loves them deep down, this all became clear with Squanto's exposure of his gambling problem.

To be fair, HT himself exposed himself as a gambler, not me. Someone asked him what his 'credentials' were because he was always professing how he was right. He said that he was a 'handicapper' (aka gambler), and that 'any bookie in Niagara Falls could vouch for his credentials.'

Being that I grew up in Niagara County, and live in Niagara Falls, that statement cleared a lot of things up for me.

The truth about Stempniak is that he is a more talented but just as streaky version of Stafford (or has the potential to be if he signs and gets the "do the minimum" bug). Just because he has put under the spotlight in a contract year with a young and hot Phoenix Coyote team, does not mean he will have the same performance over a whole season in Buffalo.

Exactly. People only see what they want to see. If Stempniak goes to another team and plays like he did for Phoenix, then all these people will claim they were right and that Regier is an idiot for not signing him, but, if he came to Buffalo and played like he did in Toronto majority of the time, the very same people would bash Regier for signing a guy to a big deal only because he's a "local product".

Yawn.

Stempniak has not proven a single thing in the NHL besides getting red hot for like 5 weeks. That doesn't excuse most of his career. And definitely doesn't warrant the contract he is demanding, and that is why he's still unsigned as of August 25th. I wouldn't want to chance it that he gets hot again, for very minimal money, sure, but not for what he wants, nor even for what he will get. Think about this, if Stempniak was able to get hot for a month and score a ton of goals, then so can Drew Stafford. I'd much rather hope for a miracle with Stafford then over pay for Stempniak.
