A big reason that Leopold and Morrisonn are upgrades over Tallinder and Lydman is that both new guys play the puck MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH smarter. Leopold's giveaway/takeaway differential was 1/3 better than Tallinders last season, and Morrisonn's was 1/2 better than Lydman's.

Meh, Lydman was a solid D man. I loved him. When he was angry he was ANGRY.

(I created a guy on the old boards called JesusOnIceMiller. Seeing how douchy these guys are)

Lol well youll like Morrisonn better, he blocks shorts and hit likes a fiend. And good luck on those boards, all you gotta do to get a taste of what its like is find a post by HockeyTruth and disagree with him and then watch the fireworks.

I'll just bust out the gambling thing.

But Morrsion, I love that signing. Smart by Darcy. Smart defensively and IS a good defensive D man, but he has some experience with an offensive D man, Green. So playing with Myers will be mmmmm lovely.

I love Tonza. He's my favorite Finn. Hell, he's the reason I'm a huge fan of Finns. But when people crack jokes about how he likes to bake apple turnovers, it's hard to disagree. The man wasn't so good with the puck.

Apple turn overs

But yeah. Even though he was a turn over machine and took penalties at the worst times, I loved that guy.

(Good taste in music, too!)

Dont make me bring up game 6 this year when in the final minute he turned over the puck at the point on the PP.

Myers is a beast, Rivet will be healthy and his skating and temper will come back, Leopold and Morrisonn are both upgrades over the departed veterans, Montador played above his expectations, and three youngsters will be battling hard for the final roster spot and 7th spot.

Homer pick or not, the Sabres' D is the best in the division. I'd say Toronto, but they haven't gelled. Phaneuf really took over that dressing room when he arrived and I think as captain he'll really crack down and improve that unit.

1. Sabres
2. Toronto
3. Boston
4. Montreal
5. Ottawa

I hope Montador keeps up what he did last year, just as long as he doesnt fall down when he skates behind the net again

After looking over his stats hes actually a pretty damn good depth defenseman and we have him at good money too.

He's kind of expensive for a bottom pair defenseman, but his contract comes off the books when Myers can be re-signed, so it's all good!

I truly believe we are one scorer away from a cup.

1.5 Million? I think thats pretty good, theres only 6 defensemen, as compared to the 12 forwards where you want your bottom line to be making a mill or less. Plus he's a career plus player and just tied his best point total in the NHL at 23 points and popped in 5 goals, all at the 4th or 5th D spot, not bad in my eyes.

I swear if he gets lucky one year with one of those moves he makes, which at the time always looks like a decent move, the cup is ours lol. I mean look when we got Moore he was having a pretty decent year and then he turned into a bust. And then when Torres came over he had 19 goals under his belt but once again didnt get it going.
