I can't wait for next season. I just watched the last home game of the regular season vs. NYR on DVR. Miller had his beautiful save on Gaborik, and we had some really nice goals hitting the trailer (Lydman, Hecht) CANT WAIT!

Bucky, it's Tim Frickin' Kennedy! I mean, really? You could drive through downtown Buffalo and find 3 or 4 equal replacements just walking down the street. I get that heart and soul guys are a HUGE inspiration to the fans, I love them! Small scrappy players that will skate through a wall for the team logo? Yes, you must have those guys on the team to win the Cup! And don't tell me that the home town connection isn't a part of it too. Regardless he will be replaced, his job opening will be filled successfully. And with all due respect, rather easily.

The Stafford buyout suggestion is simply not something ANY GM would even think about doing in his position. Stafford was his pick, a 1st rounder if I'm not mistaken so what kind of a tool are you going to look like to ownership if you buy your own guy out for nearly a million dollars?! And on top of that, he has decent size, and you just got upset because your team was too small. Oh yeah, and he scored 45 points in the league just 2 seasons ago, but I do think that it's time for Stafford to show that he wants his next contract to be from Buffalo.

Any GM worth his salt can admit that they made a mistake on a player, and cut ties when the time is right.

The consternation about Kennedy was NEVER about the player. The problem was with the math, and the fact that he was cut over a $200k difference in opinion.

When the hell will people get this? It pisses me off! They keep thinking it's about the player but when someone says it isn't it doesn't reach their tiny brain.

Sorry if I am being a dick. It's just bad.

It is about the player to the fans that lost their minds over this, which likely included you!

Even if it was over a single dollar and it didn't have anything to do with a 2-way deal (which it did), why fret about it? Nobody is gonna be like, "Awe man we would have won if TK was here.".

It's about the internal cap. The fact we would get rid of a solid player like Kennedy, just to enforce our internal cap 7 mill UNDER the NHL cap, makes me angry.

The more I read about Kennedy the more I want to hit Darcy and Larry in the face. Why the Fuck did he not want him but he rather keep the floater in Stafford

Frankly, I really don't think the Sabres need any more solid, unremarkable players, especially when they're top 6 play like 3rd liners on too many nights.

I'd rather see Gerbe out on the ice. He might be small, but he's a more gifted hockey player.

I still can't see justifying keeping him because Stafford stinks. If Stafford stinks (and he does) we would need a 3rd liner who's plays like a 2nd liner to compensate.

I don't like the self imposed cap either. However, nobody said that it couldn't go up again when they are poised for another Cup run next season.

I don't feel angry about it, because they have done far less by spending more money over recent years.

I'm on the rail on this one,I like the home passion Kennedy connected with fans and stuff,but he is a professional hockey player..Throughout the history of hockey,players know they could be moved every day at a whim..

Hes a Buffalo boy that has earned more money(and will earn more) Than most of the people make in this decrepid area..

He should be proud,and the people of WNY should be proud of his success

I just hope he lands somewhere. He's still an UFA and Im sure he'll catch on with someone just before camp, but that kid def played his balls off night in and night out.
