It might be just me but I never find women comedians as funny as men comedians, or even funny at all.

You really only have three types of female comedians: The ones who use raunchy and obnoxious sexual metaphors to try to be funny, the ones who tell long, drawn out stories and have some sort of lame punch line to be funny, and the ones who tell long, drawn out stories related to how they're a minority race and have some sort of lame punch line to be funny. Many woman comedians tend to focus on issues that are pretty women-centric, and that's a real turn off to male audiences. The joke is "The female comic's brain is filled with My cats, my vagina, my unfulfillable sex and memememe!" But that really applies to most comedians who do nothing but can appeal to one section of the audience.

Even though I support women trying to get just as famous as men, there are two things that women will never surpass men with: Comedy, and Basketball.

With all due respect of course.

What do you think?

I think you're wrong. I've seen a good number of female comics, and they've usually killed. There are just as many bad female comics as there are bad male comics.

I'm racking my brain trying to think of a funny woman comedian. That Sedaris chick from strangers with candy seems like she'd have a good stand up routine.

But really, I guess I have to agree with you, as I cannot recall actually seeing a funny female stand up comedian.

Of the well-known comedians, yes, the men are far funnier than the women in my experience, for a variety of reasons. That's far from encompassing all comedians, though.

Same here, it was probably one of the better roasts.

Came here to post that.

A buddy and I saw her in Niagra Falls earlier this year. She was hilarious, I laughed so hard the entire time. She was really dirty, some people were shocked at some of the things she said, and a few actually left.

Ellen DeGeneres is absolutely hilarious. I love her stand up.

Personally, most comedians in general are not funny to me at all. All the ones mentioned in this thread are boring to me. The few that I do like all happen to be men. *shrug*

Can't wait for the Hoff roast tonight. I know a lot of it is going to be based on his drunken cheeseburger incident, but I think it will still be good.

I too also <3 Ellen.

She always does it. It's why I can't ever remember her face

The Hoff roast was great. Greg Geraldo ripped him apart with the one joke... Something about Anne Frank.
