OK, here's my take...I interpret the line "This classically-designed uniform is a tribute to not only the history of Buffalo hockey, but early NHL jersey designs" as meaning that the team will go with a Bisons crest recolored (WOULDN'T THAT BE SEXY OMG) or Bisons-esque wordmark for the 40th logo, as speculated, on a jersey that looks like the old wool sweaters.

I'm really digging that theory, personally.

I've seen similar mockups. Only major difference was on the front, instead of the crossed sabres, the player number was there. The Sabres (and the league) seem to like that style, I wouldn't be surprised if they went that way.

I actually like it. I wouldn't at all mind if they kept them around as their regular 3rd's if it looks similar to that, I like the navy/royal blue combo.

As I posted elsewhere, the new NHL practice jerseys are out. The Sabres? Neo-vintage crest on both.

Dave and Adam's announced today they are taking pre-orders for the new away and 3rd jerseys, with an expected arrival date at the store of Sept. 24. The cost? $85 or $90 (can't remember). Get on that people!
