Cant wait to see all the mid to low 80's on the Sabres roster lol. Their players rating always seem to get low balled.

the NHL series player ratings suck. everyone is between a 75 and an 83, it seems. NHL 2001 had the best ratings ever. stars in the 90s, first liners high to low 80s, second liners low 80s to high 70s, third liners mid to low 70s, occasionally a high 60s, 4th line low 70s to low 60s.

Bull, he should have gotten a 93. It's still really good though. I bet luongo is rated higher.

okay so i reviewed the Ultimate Team videos EA has posted and these are the overall ratings i was able to see.. there were more but i could recognize some players and their names weren't visible.
Now these rating are prolly not final, and i know in Ultimate team you can upgrade your players so some of these could be off.. but i figured it would give us an idea of what EA is thinking.

Ovechkin ---- 94
Crosby ------ 93
D. Sedin ---- 90
Gaborik ----- 90
Latendresse - 81
Okposo ------ 82
Weight ------ 80
Seguin ------ 79
T. Hall ----- 81
Koivu ------- 87
Lecavalier -- 89
Stamkos ----- 88
Berglund ---- 82
Rypien ------ 78
Tim Kennedy - 72
Matt Ellis -- 74
Forsberg ---- 81
P. Regin ---- 75

Pronger ----- 87
Lidstrom ---- 87
D. Keith ---- 87
Meszaros ---- 82

Luongo ------ 90
Miller ------ 91
Turco ------- 85

If we're actually getting new away uniforms, are they going to be unveiled before NHL 11 is released, or will the game "blank" it out like they do with the new 3rd jerseys until they're released?

well we are getting new away jerseys and 3rds -- i'm sure the away jerseys will be available right away,(what would your team wear at away games) but the 3rds will prolly have to be unlocked once every team has unveiled their new 3rds, that's how EA did it for 09 ... So even though the sabres are unveiling them at puckdrop later this month we'll prolly have to wait, maybe not since they will have officially unveiled the jersey but i'm not too hopeful. i really hate the whole code crap we've had to do the last few years.. if i'm paying for the whole game i should get all the jerseys right away, and not have to wait a few months to unlock the "rest of the game"

But if EA breached terms of contract by releasing Jersey's early, it could really piss off the team and they could refuse to be in the game.

oh i know that it just sucks that they have to.. besides why unveil your jersey after the season starts.. do it a month or two before so people can buy the new look and be ready for opening night... just a pipe dream lol

they could lose the NHL license and PA license. thus, no more EAS series nhl games.

I understand too, but with downloadable crap it's easy, they might do it that way instead.

The ratings do suck, they always change drastically depending on how the player does in the year before the game unfortunately.

I remember in nhl 07 or 08 Max was rated a High 80, and in nhl 10 he was in the 70's, Vanek kinda the same way.

At one point, they rated Luke Schenn an 81 and Myers a 71. They are now the same overall, right?

Of course, Luke Schenn is as good as Myers right? He was a contender for the Calder?
